All along I was thinking "So how does this all tie to the first story with the reptilian aliens?" I hope there are more volumes. Nice to see Sigourney Weaver in this too. Their shorts have been really on point as far as quality and content, I hope they can continue putting out this kind of content.Blompkamp is pretty much doing all these projects with his own money and contributions. Easily some of the best stuff on YouTube.This was good! I'm getting the impression he's releasing Volume 1 to test the waters and start getting support to bring in money to help fund a Volume 2. Rakka creates an entire world in a very short period of time – one where lizard-esque aliens have taken over Earth and crushed humanity, apart from very small patches of resistance. What was the point of this? A typical alien invasion vs. human survivor movie, then half way through the movie, with no conclusion, it becomes a mish mash of short clips of dumb commercial type things with a horror theme. With the last resilient survivors scattered over a nearly dead planet, mankind's last hope rests in a heroic resistance movement and in the hands of its leader, Jasper; however, before the hordes of the brutal and seemingly unstoppable extraterrestrials, the future is bleak. A convict awakens to the grim reality of having been transferred into a mechanical shell. No relavance what so ever to the first half of the movie and really dumb "b movie" type gore.
